A judicial magistrate for fourteen years, Vincent Filhol has worked in particular at the Economic and Financial Office of the French Ministry of Justice, the French National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF), and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. He has led complex investigations into economic and financial crime, contributing to the development of criminal policy in this area, and has participated in international negotiations on topics such as the fight against corruption, civil and criminal cooperation, and the restitution of illicit assets. He has been actively involved in the anti-corruption work of GRECO (Council of Europe), the OECD, the European Union, and the UNODC, and continues to serve as an expert advisor to GRECO in assessing states’ efforts to prevent corruption and promote integrity.
Before joining Navacelle, he was of counsel at the international law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP, where he helped establish the ethics, investigations, and defense practice.
His arrival is part of the firm’s development strategy, led by a multidisciplinary team headed by Roxane Castro, Julie Zorrilla, Maxime Desplats, and Stéphane de Navacelle. Vincent Filhol will bring his expertise in complex investigations, regulation, environmental crime, and compliance, to bear in an increasingly cross-functional and international litigation environment.
“Vincent’s experience in prosecutorial and regulatory investigations enhances our ability to anticipate our clients’ needs in an increasingly complex international context” says Stéphane de Navacelle, Partner.
