2025 was another significant year for market abuse and financial misconduct enforcement at the French Financial Market Authority.
The number of investigations opened increased by 20% and indictment orders (notifications de griefs) more than tripled. This reflects an intensification in the detection of professional misconduct and market abuse. The Enforcement Committee issued 13 decisions, while the use of administrative settlements also increased, with 18 approved agreements totaling €4.38 million paid to the French Treasury.
In January 2026, the Paris Criminal Court handed down its decision on the Casino criminal case, after more than five years of proceedings conducted in cooperation with the AMF, which also obtained civil party status in the case. Finally, the AMF further strengthened its cooperation with other authorities, notably with the DGCCRF.
