Navacelle strengthens its regulatory litigation practice with the arrival of Roxane Castro

With an international culture and a multidisciplinary team led by Stéphane de Navacelle and Julie Zorrilla, Navacelle continues to develop and strengthen its regulatory litigation and white-collar crime practice with the arrival of Roxane Castro as Counsel.

Member of the Paris and New York bars for over 10 years, Roxane assists the firm’s clients on litigation and compliance issues, tailoring the strategy to take into account international issues and specificities of each activity.

Roxane started her career as an associate in the Paris office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she assisted European and American clients in complex litigation often including a cross-border dimension. She then joined the French Financial Market Authority (Autorité des marchés financiers, “AMF”) where she was involved with the work of the Enforcement Committee of this regulator by assisting judges, general counsels and financial sector professionals who are members thereof on cases related to regulated professionals in the financial sector, securities laws, market abuse, and financial communication by issuers. She has also regularly represented the AMF before national courts in high-stakes cases for the Paris market. As a result of these experiences, where she has been trained on investigation techniques, Roxane is an efficient interlocutor between her clients and their regulators as well as the magistrates.

In addition, Roxane received an excellent French and international education. She holds a master’s degree in business law (magistère de juriste d’affaires) from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a DJCE in corporate law from the same university. She is also magna cum laude graduate of the L.L.M. of the University of Chicago-Kent.

“By joining a leading French law firm, I want to contribute to the expansion of the firm and provide my litigation expertise and my knowledge of regulated environments to its clients. The expert litigators at Navacelle, which are part of a network of recognized practitioners in France and abroad, convinced me to join them.”

Roxane Castro, Navacelle Counsel

“Roxane’s experience in regulatory litigation allows us to expand our assistance offer to be as complete as possible for clients who are increasingly facing complex business law cases where involving a strong cooperation between national and international authorities.”

Julie Zorrilla, Partner Navacelle

“With Roxane joining the Navacelle Team we expand our ability to assist our French and foreign clients in their interactions with regulatory authorities.”

Stéphane de Navacelle, Partner Navacelle
