Moving from a compliance program to a true culture and ethics of anti-corruption in decision-making

On 25 and 26 June 2025, the International Bar Association's annual anti-corruption conference will be held in Paris, providing an opportunity for legal practitioners from around the world to discuss the practices of their jurisdictions in this area and potential developments.

 

As part of the IBA Anti-Corruption Annual Conference, Stéphane de Navacelle will be speaking alongside Maximiliano D’Auro (Beccar Varela), Andrew M. Levine (Debevoise), Sunny McCall (TRACE International), and Klaus Moosmayer (Novartis) on the evolution from a compliance program to a true culture and ethics of anti-corruption in decision-making.

When?  June 26 at 9:15 AM (Paris time), at the Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel.

Also featured in the conference program are discussions on:

  • Anti-corruption efforts, especially in light of the “pause” of the US FCPA
  • The OECD Convention on Combating the Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions, particularly its ongoing Phase 5
  • Practices regarding whistleblowers and reporting
  • The use of sanctions in anti-corruption efforts
  • Tackling corruption in public procurement through compliance measures and risk prevention
  • Tracing financial flows as part of anti-money laundering strategies against corruption
  • The role of multilateral development banks
  • Corruption in the context of M&A
  • Crosssector cooperation between Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and law firms in promoting transparency, responsibility, and the Rule of Law
