Vigilance: reforms suggested by compliance professionals

Simplification of the legal framework, exemption from criminal liability, better coordination of litigation, a future authority responsible for the duty of vigilance and the creation of a new legal profession are the measures requested by six compliance specialists.

Stéphane de Navacelle : “The key measure of the future five-year term of the President is the creation of the profession of Jurisconsult, which gathers lawyers, magistrates, jurists, all expert and independent around a common code of ethics. In everyday life, I do not spend my time lying, I do not spend my time being lawless, as soon as I put on my lawyer’s robe, some magistrates and colleagues think that I cannot be trusted, that I can lie at will. It is thus the profession of lawyer that distorts the man. And therefore bringing the professions together would make us earn trust, gain in strength, in faith in society and in independence, from the point of view of the national community.”
